A sence of achievement in the outdoors
What does "Bulder & Brak" mean? It litterally means "noise" and for us it means the sound of nature. Our love for nature started in Jotunheimen, specifically in a mountain range called Hurrungane. The majestic peaks of Hurrungane surrounds the village we live in - and they are always present in our awareness. The word "hurr" comes from the Norse language, and it means "noise". And all though we often seek to nature to get away from the noise of our everyday lives - nature is not silent. If you listen and open your sences, you will hear every stroke of wind a long side the mountains, the movements in the glaciers, the water running in the rivers and the rockfalls in spring. The landscape that surrounds us here in Årdal is dramatic and steep - and not at all silent. But that does not mean that we can`t find silence when going into nature - because the sounds and movements in nature resonates with the sounds and movements of human nature. Outdoor life is good for us, for our phsyical bodies as well as our inner selves. And that is what we want to bring into your lives. We are motivated by the idea that a trip with us might be the start of something new in your life. A new interest, a new way of viewing the world and your body. We want you to be challenged, but most importantly to feel achievement and joy. Welcome!
